Corner labeling machines are specialized labeling systems that allow the label to be applied in an "L" or "U" shape, starting from one side of the product packaging and continuing at a 90° angle towards the side or top surface.
These machines are used particularly in applications requiring knowledge of corners and edges, such as cardboard boxes, pharmaceutical packaging, mailing boxes, and security-sealed products.
The presence of the label on both the visible surface and the cover or side provides functions such as security, traceability, and open control. It typically operates with a single HERMA applicator followed by a printing or deflection system.
Operating Principle and Packaging Compatibility
The labeling module begins labeling the product from one surface and, using a special mechanical guidance system, folds the label onto the second surface at a 90° angle. In this system, the flexibility and adhesive strength of the label are of great importance.
Fixing brushes, rubber pressure systems, or pneumatic lever mechanisms are used to ensure the label is folded into the correct position.
