Coding and labeling solutions are an indispensable part of modern production lines. Every piece of data printed on packaging is critical for traceability, regulatory compliance, and consumer safety.
Our company offers end-to-end coding, visual inspection, and tracking systems for your production line. We develop customized solutions for every sector, from pharmaceuticals and cosmetics to food and agricultural products.
1. Coding Systems
Coding systems are automated marking technologies used to print various information (lot number, expiration date, 2D code, QR code, pharmacocode, etc.) on product packaging.
Printing is generally done using inkjet (TIJ/CIJ), laser, thermal transfer, or label printing methods.
- 2D Code and QR Code (DataMatrix) Encoding Systems
- Printing two-dimensional codes such as GS1, DataMatrix, and QR codes onto bottles, boxes, blisters, or labels.
- High-resolution TIJ is achieved using laser or thermal systems.
- It provides traceability in pharmaceuticals, food, and personal care products.
- Pharmacocode Coding Systems
- These are color and line-based verification codes written on the edges of cardboard boxes, especially in the pharmaceutical industry.
- It allows for visual verification before the cardboard box is opened.
- It is implemented with TTO or inkjet systems.
- Lot, Expiration Date, and Serial Number Coding Systems
- Basic information such as production date, expiration date, lot and batch number.
- The designation is printed on the appropriate spot on the packaging using CIJ, TIJ, or TTO systems.
- It is used for mandatory knowledge fields in all sectors.
- RFID / NFC Tag Encoding (optional)
- It offers contactless data reading capabilities for products requiring high security.
- Product information is encoded into an electronic chip.
2. Verification and Vision Control Systems
These systems check whether the information written by coding systems is accurate, complete, and readable. They work with OCR (optical character recognition), OCV (character verification), and barcode readers. Incorrect products can be automatically identified.
- OCR / OCV Systems
- They perform content and quality control on the written text.
- It detects incorrect characters, faded text, or positional errors.
- Barcode and 2D Code Reading
- It tests the machine readability of the printed QR code, DataMatrix, or barcode.
- Positioning and Print Quality Control
- The positioning, alignment, and print clarity on the label are checked.
- Rejector System Integration
- Products that are incorrectly read are automatically removed from the production line by a pneumatic piston or air jet.
3. Product Tracking and Serialization Systems
These systems transfer coded and verified data to central databases, ensuring traceability throughout the product's lifecycle. They are a legal requirement, particularly in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Drug Tracking System (DTS / FMD / DSCSA)
- Türkiye's product serialization and notification infrastructure complies with European and US regulations.
- Product Tracking Systems (Food, Cosmetics, Agricultural Products)
- Traceability and protection against counterfeiting all the way to the end consumer.
- Serialization and Aggregation
- Establishing an aggregation matrix (bottle → box → carton → pallet relationship).
- The contents of the box match the outer packaging.
- Data Sharing Protocols
- Data sharing and central system connectivity infrastructure such as EPCIS, XML, and SAP/ERP integration.
4. Application Technologies
The hardware used in coding processes varies depending on the product type and printing requirements.
- TIJ (Thermal Inkjet) Encoders
- High-resolution printing works with close contact to the packaging surface.
- CIJ (Continuous Inkjet) Encoders
- Suitable for high-speed production lines; the print clarity is less, but it's very fast.
- TTO (Thermal Transfer Overprinter)
- It provides high-definition printing on blisters, labels, and film.
- Laser Marking Systems
- It requires no consumables; it leaves permanent marks on glass, plastic, and metal surfaces.
- Printing Modules Capable of Writing Text on Labels
- Systems like HERMA Print & Apply allow for simultaneous coding during the labeling process.
Why Should These Systems Be Preferred?
- ✅ Ensures full compliance with legal regulations (ITS, FMD, GS1, etc.)
- ✅ Eliminates the risk of counterfeiting and ensures product safety.
- ✅ Enables seamless, real-time coding on high-speed production lines.
- ✅ Kamera destekli görsel doğrulama ile %100 kontrol
- ✅ With SCADA / MES / ERP integration, all data is stored in a central system.
- ✅ Custom configurations can be offered for each sector.
All these systems can work together in an integrated manner; for example, a QR code is printed on a syrup bottle, verified with OCR, sent to the ITS system, and every stage is recorded.
We offer end-to-end solutions tailored to your needs. Whether you require just printing or an integrated coding, verification, and notification system, we can integrate all of these under one roof.
